This seven night vacation is designed for those adrenaline hunters looking for the best in boarding action! Surfing and volcano boarding! You’ll fly into Managua and take aprivate transfer to the city of Leon. The home of Nicaragua’s best museums, oldest learning centers, and finest churches, Leon is the intellectual heart of Nicaragua. The most authentically colonial Spanish city in country, Leon is surrounded by volcanoes and the Pacific Rim is truly visible here, with great opportunities for “volcano boarding”, the new adrenaline sport sweeping… well, sweeping northwest Nicaragua! Twenty minutes out of town you’ll hit some of the best surfing in the region on the deserted beaches of Poneloya. You’ll stay at Hotel El Convento in the heart of León, on the site of the former San Francisco Convent. Its colonial buildings and lush gardens offer a unique atmosphere while you soak up the history oozing out of these ancient streets.

After three nights in Leon, you’ll check out and head to the beaches of San Juan del Sur for that famous surf and those off shore winds that you’ve heard all about! Once in San Juan del Sur, you’ll stay in the best resort in town, Pelican Eyes.These days will see you bright and early each morning at the main dock in San Juan del Sur for your surf boat trips, where we’ll take you to the right spots depending on current local conditions and your experience, so you spend more time in the water. Each half day tour will cover all the southern beaches and northern breaks north until Santana and Colorado. We will run up to meet the tide and surf for a few hours until you are tired of the tide changes. You can fish on the way back to San Juan del Sur, and find some fresh sushi or dinner for the night that the local restaurants can cook up for you. After a couple of surf tours, we’ll allow you to chill out for a day by the pool, or checking out some local beaches on your own for a final blow out before heading home.

Day 1: Fly into Managua and meet our Rep who will show you to your waiting private transfer to the city of Leon (approx 2 hours). Stay at Hotel El Convento.

Day 2: Soak up the scene of this new country by getting to know the town with a city tour.

Day 3: This is why you came to Leon! Today we’ll pick you up to take you to the volcano Cerro Negro, where after climbing to the summit, you’ll descend its black sands strapped onto a board!

Day 4: Check out of Leon and head to the beaches of San Juan del Sur for that famous surf and those offshores that you’ve heard all about! Once in San Juan del Sur, you’ll stay in the best resort in town, Pelican Eyes.

Days 5-6: Spend these days surfing!

Day 7: Spend today relaxing on the beach or by the pool, or heading out yourself for a last day of surfing.

Day 8: Transfer back to Managua Airport for your flight home.
